Amiodarone and Fever

During clinical trials on amiodarone (Cordarone®, Pacerone®, Nexterone®), a fever was a commonly reported side effect, occurring in 1 percent to 9 percent of people. In most cases, side effects of this medicine tend to be mild and easy to treat. However, serious problems can occur.

It can be difficult to determine whether you will develop side effects while using amiodarone. Make sure to contact your healthcare provider if you are taking this medicine and develop anything that "just does not seem right." Some of the other commonly reported problems can include nausea, constipation, and vomiting.
