Amiodarone and Iodine Allergy

You should not use amiodarone (Cordarone®, Pacerone®, Nexterone®) if you have an iodine allergy, as this medication contains a significant amount of iodine. There are a number of important precautions to review to ensure a safe treatment with this medication, as it may not be appropriate for some people.
 
Make sure your healthcare provider has an up-to-date list of all vitamins, herbal supplements, and prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking. Also, he or she will need to know about any other medical problems you have.
