Amiodarone Indications

As a Class III antiarrhythmic medication, amiodarone (Cordarone®, Pacerone®, Nexterone®) can be an effective treatment for certain irregular heart rhythms. Approved indications (or uses) for amiodarone include the treatment of:
  • Ventricular fibrillation
  • Ventricular tachycardia.
There are also a number of off-label indications for amiodarone. The medication is frequently used off-label to treat the following conditions:
