The success of your valve replacement will depend on your individual situation, especially your overall health condition and the severity of your illness.
However, in most cases, the improvements in your pre-surgery symptoms should be very noticeable. Your recovery will vary with your individual situation, but most patients recover fairly quickly, with the vast majority feeling much improved after their surgery. Only a few have no improvement or feel worse.
You will probably have some long-term changes in your physical ability from the procedure in general.
Because individual situations can vary, your doctor can discuss the expected results of your particular situation.
