Aortic Valve Replacement Expectations

Aortic Valve Replacement Expectations: An Overview

The success of your aortic valve replacement will depend on your individual situation (especially your overall health condition) and the severity of your illness.

In most cases, the improvements in your pre-surgery symptoms should be very noticeable. Most patients recover fairly quickly, with the vast majority feeling much improved after their surgery. Only a few have no improvement or feel worse.

You will probably experience some long-term changes in your physical abilities as a result of the aortic valve replacement.

Because individual situations can vary, your doctor can discuss the expected results of your particular situation with you.
