When you leave the hospital you will be given specific wound-care instructions and discharge instructions for driving, activity level, medication, and any further restrictions necessary.

You will also be given a card with your defibrillator or pacemaker identification information on it. Always carry this with you.

Although your physician may restrict your activities for a few weeks after surgery, you will soon be able to resume your normal activities.
