Important Information on Pradaxa

How Should Pradaxa Be Stored?

Pradaxa should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.

You must keep Pradaxa in the original container -- either the original bottle or the original blister packaging, depending on how your medication was packaged. Keep the lid tightly closed. For Pradaxa in the bottle, you must discard it after four months of first opening the bottle. The medication is sensitive to moisture, and the cap has a built-in desiccator to help remove moisture.

Make sure your pharmacist does not dispense your Pradaxa in a regular pharmacy bottle. It should be dispensed and stored in the original manufacturer's packaging only.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you do not take your Pradaxa as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as possible, as long as there is at least six hours before your next dose. However, if it is already within six hours of your next dose, simply skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.

If you miss one or more doses, make sure to contact your healthcare provider for further instructions.
