Tikosyn Reactions

Like most antiarrhythmics, Tikosyn® (dofetilide) can cause very serious side effects, which is why it is reserved for cases involving severe symptoms. Extensive clinical trials have shown that some of the most commonly reported reactions of Tikosyn include:
  • An abnormal heartbeat
  • Headache
  • Chest pain
  • Dizziness.
In many cases, side effects of this medication are minor and easy to treat. However, there are some potentially serious problems that require immediate medical care. Contact your healthcare provider right away if you are taking Tikosyn and experience difficulty breathing, vomiting, or other potentially serious problems.
