Tricuspid StenosisTricuspid stenosis is a narrowing of the tricuspid valve in the heart. This forces the heart to work harder to pump blood from the right atrium into the right ventricle. Over time, this causes the right atrium to become enlarged and less effective at pumping blood through the tricuspid valve. Tricuspid stenosis is usually caused by rheumatic fever or a congenital heart defect. When symptoms are present, they can include fatigue and irregular heart rhythms. The treatment for this condition depends on the severity of the stenosis and the patient's general health.
